Airalo charges between $6 and $59 for a phone number on top of your data. aloSIM gives you one free with every plan, through its sister app Hushed, with $3 of calling credit already loaded. That’s the first thing I noticed about aloSIM, and it isn’t the reason I’d buy it.

The reason is the code. ESIMTWEAKS takes 15% off every aloSIM plan, for anyone, first order or fiftieth. Airalo’s 15% is for new customers only, and after that you’re down to 10%. Since aloSIM prices most of its daily plans identically to Airalo, that 5 point gap decides the whole comparison for anyone who’s used Airalo before.

So here’s what this page does. It shows what 15% takes off the plans you’ll actually buy, where aloSIM beats Airalo and where it doesn’t, and the one place the code won’t work.

Who it’s for

Everyone. New and returning customers.

Where to enter it

At checkout, after you’ve picked your payment method. It won’t combine with aloCASH wallet payments or vouchers.

Bottom line:

  • Buy aloSIM with ESIMTWEAKS if you’re a returning Airalo customer, or if you want a free US or Canadian number for the trip.
  • Buy it for the USA regardless, where its 50GB plan at $26.35 is the best big data price I can point to.
  • Buy Airalo instead for regional Europe fixed data, where aloSIM is $4 dearer even after the code.

15% Off, Plan by Plan: List Price vs Code Price

I’ve put the plans people actually buy in one table, list price and code price side by side.

PlanListWith ESIMTWEAKSYou keep
Japan 10GB, 30 days, KDDI$18.00$15.30$2.70
Japan 20GB, 30 days$25.00$21.25$3.75
Japan daily unlimited, 7 days$27.00$22.95$4.05
USA 10GB, 30 days, T-Mobile$23.00$18.70$3.30
USA 50GB, 30 days$42.00$35.70$6.30
USA unlimited, 30 days, 2GB a day$27.00$22.95$4.05
Europe 10GB, 30 days, 35 countries$36.00$30.60$5.40
Europe 50GB, 90 days$95.00$80.75$14.25
Europe daily unlimited, 7 days$27.00$22.95$4.05
Europe daily unlimited, 30 days$72.50$61.63$10.87

Two rows jump out to me. The USA 50GB for $35.70 is 53 cents a gigabyte on T-Mobile with 5G.

I don’t know a cheaper way to get that much American data on a travel eSIM. And Europe 50GB over 90 days at $80.75 is the plan for a slow summer, because the 90 day window means you’re not racing the clock.

aloSIM vs Airalo: Same Daily Prices, Different Discount

Put aloSIM’s daily unlimited plans next to Airalo’s and something odd happens.

aloSIM USA unlimited eSIM plan prices

Three days is $11.50, five days is $19.50 and seven days is $27.00. Ten days is $35.00 and fifteen is $49.00. Identical, on Europe and on Japan.

Only the 30 day plan splits, $72.50 at aloSIM against $71.00 at Airalo.

Both shops are buying from the same wholesale sources at that end of the market, and both are pricing to the same sheet.

Which means the code decides it, and I’ve laid the two codes side by side so you can see it happen.

Europe daily unlimitedaloSIM with ESIMTWEAKS, anyoneAiralo with ESIMADVICE15, new customersAiralo with ESIMADVICE10, returning
7 days$22.95$22.95$24.30
15 days$41.65$41.65$44.10
30 days$61.63$60.35$63.90

On your first trip it’s a tie. On every trip after that, aloSIM wins by about $1.35 a week, because your Airalo code has dropped to 10% and mine hasn’t.

The one place Airalo still wins outright is the fixed 10GB Europe pack, $26.35 against $30.60.

If that’s your plan, buy Airalo, and for everything else aloSIM with the code is level or ahead.

The free number, and what it’s actually for?

Every aloSIM plan comes with a free US or Canadian phone number in the Hushed app, with $3 of credit loaded. Here’s what I’d use it for, in order.

Registering a WhatsApp or Telegram account you don’t want tied to your home number.

Giving a hotel or a restaurant something to text, and receiving codes from apps that accept a VoIP number. Calling a US airline from abroad without paying roaming rates for the hold music.

Here’s what I wouldn’t use it for, and it’s the one that matters: bank verification codes. Banks routinely refuse VoIP numbers, and Hushed is a VoIP number.

Keep your home SIM in the phone for those, on roaming if you’ve to. The number is a real convenience, and it’s not a replacement for your own.

Why ESIMTWEAKS Won’t Apply on aloCASH Payments

There’s one rule, and it catches people every week: ESIMTWEAKS won’t combine with aloCASH.

aloCASH is aloSIM’s wallet, and if you pay from it, the code field is dead.

Pay with a card, Apple Pay or Google Pay and the code applies. It also won’t stack with a voucher, so it’s one discount per order, and ours is the bigger one.

How to Apply the aloSIM Code at Checkout, Step by Step

Step 1

Open aloSIM in the app or on the web and choose your country and plan.

Step 2

At checkout, pick your payment method first. Card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Not aloCASH.

Step 3

The promo field appears after that. Enter ESIMTWEAKS and apply. The total drops by 15%.

Step 4

Pay. Install from the app on iPhone with a tap, or scan the QR code on Android.

Step 5

Open Hushed, claim your free number, and note the $3 credit.

Step 6

On landing, turn data roaming on for the aloSIM line. Leave your home SIM on for bank texts.

The catch

aloSIM Trustpilot rating

aloSIM’s unlimited plans aren’t unlimited. On the USA plan it’s 2GB a day at full speed before the slowdown, which is less than Airalo’s 3GB and Saily’s 5GB.

If you tether a laptop or upload video, buy the 50GB fixed plan instead, which is cheaper anyway.

The Trustpilot picture is fair rather than glowing. 4.0 from 2,282 reviews, 64% five star and 13% one star, and the company replies to every negative review, usually inside 48 hours.

The complaints cluster around activation taking longer than expected and the odd dropout.

The praise clusters around support. It’s a product that works once it’s up, sold by a company that picks up the phone.

And the number is a VoIP number, which I’ve said once and I’ll say again, because it’s the thing people email me about.

Which aloSIM Plan Suits Which Trip

  • A long weekend in New York or Tokyo: the 7 day daily plan at $22.95, or the 10GB if you’d rather not think about a daily cap.
  • A fortnight in Japan: the 20GB at $21.25, which is under a dollar a gigabyte on KDDI.
  • A month working from the USA: the 50GB at $26.35, and nothing else, because the unlimited plan’s 2GB a day would throttle you by lunch.
  • A summer across Europe: the 50GB over 90 days at $80.75. And if you’re not sure how much you’ll use, the data planner works it out from what you actually do on your phone.

It’ll usually land lower than you expect.

What I’d tell a friend?

Three things. One, aloSIM with ESIMTWEAKS is the best deal on this site for a repeat traveller who’s already burned Airalo’s new customer code.

Two, the USA 50GB at $26.35 is worth the whole page on its own. Three, don’t buy the Europe 10GB here, buy it from Airalo, and don’t buy either shop’s unlimited plan if you work on the road.

I run every code on eSIMTweaks through checkout myself before it’s printed, and again whenever a page is refreshed. If aloSIM ever pulls ESIMTWEAKS, this page changes the same day. That’s the whole deal between us.

FAQ’s

What’s the best aloSIM promo code right now?

ESIMTWEAKS, for 15% off every aloSIM plan. It works for new and returning customers, which is the difference between it and Airalo’s 15%.

Is there an aloSIM discount code bigger than 15%?

Not that I hold or have seen from anyone. Fifteen percent is the biggest aloSIM coupon code going, and unlike most it isn’t restricted to first orders.

Does the AloSIM code work for existing customers?

Yes, because there’s no first order restriction, so use it on every purchase.

Why isn’t my aloSIM promo code applying?

Almost always because you’re paying with aloCASH, and the fix is simple. Switch the payment method to a card, Apple Pay or Google Pay and the promo field comes back. It also won’t stack with a voucher.

Is the aloSIM phone number really free?

Yes. Every plan includes a US or Canadian number in the Hushed app with $3 of credit. It’s a VoIP number, so it’s fine for WhatsApp, hotels and most apps, and unreliable for bank verification codes.

Does aloSIM have unlimited data?

It sells daily plans with a full speed allowance, 2GB a day on the USA plan, then a slowdown. Airalo gives 3GB and Saily 5GB. For heavy use, aloSIM’s 50GB USA plan at $26.35 is the better buy.

Does AloSIM give refunds?

Yes, a 30 day refund guarantee if the eSIM won’t connect or your phone turns out not to support eSIM. Check your phone first with our compatibility checker.

Which network does aloSIM use in Japan and the USA?

KDDI in Japan and T-Mobile in the USA, both with LTE and 5G.

Verdict: Who Should Buy aloSIM With the Code

Buy aloSIM with ESIMTWEAKS if you’re a returning traveller.

Fifteen percent for everyone, on daily plans priced the same as Airalo’s, means you come out ahead from your second trip onwards.

Buy it for the USA regardless, where 50GB for $26.35 has no rival I can name.

Skip it for the Europe 10GB pack, which Airalo sells for $4.25 less. And treat the free number as a bonus for WhatsApp and hotels, never as the number your bank texts.
