How the speed test works
The test downloads and uploads a block of data between your device and our server and times how long it takes, then converts that into megabits per second (Mbps). Ping measures the round-trip delay in milliseconds — lower is better for video calls and gaming. Run it a couple of times for a stable reading; results naturally vary with signal strength, time of day and how busy the local network is.
What is a good eSIM speed?
- 1–5 Mbps — fine for maps, messaging, email and social media.
- 5–25 Mbps — comfortable browsing and standard-definition video.
- 25 Mbps+ — HD streaming, video calls and tethering a laptop.
